Cacao, Date, & Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Made from three superfoods, this chocolate mousse recipe is simple, decadent, and satiating. High-antioxidant, high-healthy fat, and high-fiber, this mousse satisfies sugar and fat cravings alike while simultaneously supporting your health. All you need is three ingredients and a food processor/blender to make absolute chocolate magic!

Cacao, Date, & Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
- 5 large, ripe avocados
- 4 cups dried dates
- 1½-2 cups raw cacao powder
- maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Add dates to a large (7-cup) Pyrex storage container and allow to soak for 8-12 hours.
- Halve avocados; remove and discard pits.
- Add soaked dates and half the avocados to food processor or blender.
- Process dates and avocados until well-blended, adding ½ remaining avocados at a time.
- Add 1½ cups of raw cacao powder and begin blending. If necessary, continue adding cacao powder until mixture becomes thick and creamy.
- Taste mousse; if avocado taste is too prevalent, add maple syrup until it reaches preferred level of sweetness.
